Abdomen

The abdomen is a larger area and often requires more product per session and more sessions overall. Results build gradually. Patients with a modest, localised fat pocket will typically need fewer sessions than those treating a broader area.

1. Volume of fat in the treated area
The more fat present, the more sessions required. Fat dissolving targets a specific pocket of fat — it is not a weight loss treatment. Patients who are close to their ideal weight and treating a stubborn, localised area will typically need fewer sessions than those with a larger volume to address.
2. Number of areas being treated
Each treatment area is counted separately. If you are treating the double chin and abdomen at the same time, both areas follow their own session count. Some patients treat multiple areas concurrently; others choose to complete one area before starting another.
3. Your body’s individual response
People metabolise and clear the broken-down fat cells at different rates. Some patients see pronounced results after a single session; others find the change more gradual. This is normal and not a sign that treatment is not working. Final results for any given session are not visible until 6 to 8 weeks after treatment.
4. Skin laxity
Fat dissolving reduces volume but does not significantly tighten the skin. Patients with good skin elasticity tend to see cleaner, more defined results. Where skin laxity is a concern, your practitioner may recommend a complementary treatment alongside fat dissolving, or a different approach altogether.
