Anti Wrinkle Injections

Botox® is one of the most widely performed non-surgical cosmetic treatments globally, with millions of procedures carried out each year.

Dr Hass

Botox® gained widespread popularity for its cosmetic benefits when doctors noticed that it could also smooth out wrinkles and fine lines.

Anti-wrinkle treatment involves injecting Botox® (Botulinum Toxin type A) into targeted facial muscles, temporarily weakening them, thereby softening existing wrinkles and preventing further formation of wrinkles. It is particularly effective in reducing forehead lines, frown lines, and crow’s feet. However, its applications don’t end here. Botulinum toxin has more recently gained notoriety for its use in jawline slimming and treating bruxism (teeth grinding).

Some individuals in their 20s and 30s opt for Botox® as a preventative measure against the formation of wrinkles. This is sometimes referred to as “prejuvenation’’ or “Baby Botox®”. Contact us to arrange this treatment with one of our experienced doctors.

FAQs

What is the anti-wrinkle treatment?

It involves injecting small amounts of botulinum toxin into specific areas to temporarily relax the muscles and reduce the appearance of wrinkles and fine lines.

How long does the treatment take?

The treatment itself is relatively quick and typically takes only a few minutes to complete.

How soon will I see results?

Results from botulinum toxin injections are not immediate. It generally takes a few days for the effects to become noticeable, with the full results typically visible within one to two weeks after the treatment.

How long do the effects last?

The effects are temporary and typically last three to four months. However, individual results may vary based on factors such as metabolism, the specific area treated, and the amount of toxin used.

Are there any potential complications?

While complications are generally minimal, some common ones may include temporary redness, swelling, and rarely any bruising.

Can I resume normal activities after the treatment?

Yes, most patients can resume their normal activities immediately after the treatment. However, it is generally recommended to avoid strenuous exercise, excessive heat exposure, and rubbing the treated area for the first 24 to 48 hours to minimize the risk of complications.

How often can I have the treatment done?

The treatment can be repeated every three to four months to maintain the desired results.

Will my face look worse if I stop having this treatment?
