1. Endolift Body: our first recommendation for most patients. Endolift Body employs the LASEmaR® 1500 laser, delivered through a fibre finer than a human hair, working beneath the skin under local anaesthetic.
It contracts existing collagen immediately and stimulates new collagen production that continues developing for several months. Because the fibre operates beneath the surface, it can also refine small pockets of fat situated just under the treated skin.
Suited to patients who:
- Present with mild to moderate laxity rather than severe
- Have crepey or lax skin without a significant overhanging fold
- Prefer a single minimally invasive session to a surgical recovery
- Have modest localised fat they would also like refined
Treatment takes 60 to 120 minutes. Most patients resume normal activity within 24 to 72 hours. Results develop over 2 to 9 months and typically persist for 2 to 3 years. From £1,995 for a focused area, £2,995 for the full abdomen.
2. XERF Laser: for skin quality alone, where fat is not a factor. XERF delivers dual-frequency radiofrequency energy, reaching the superficial dermis, mid-dermis, and deep fascia within a single session, without needles or downtime. It tightens skin exclusively; it has no effect on fat, regardless of the number of sessions undertaken. Where the presenting concern is genuinely skin quality, with sound muscle tone and no meaningful fat, this represents a legitimate no-downtime option. Where fat is also present, as is the case for most patients, Endolift Body or Laser Liposuction will achieve a more complete result.
3. RF, RF microneedling, and HIFU: their place in the wider picture.
- Surface RF (Thermage-type): no downtime and painless, though its effect on established post-pregnancy or post-weight-loss laxity tends to be modest.
- RF microneedling (Morpheus8-type): a stronger collagen response than surface RF, at the cost of several days of redness and pinpoint scabbing. Well suited to moderate laxity and concurrent stretch marks.
- HIFU (Ultherapy-type): reaches the SMAS layer and performs excellently on the face, though results on the abdomen are more variable given the differing fat distribution.
Dr Hass Clinic does not offer these specific devices. Our clinical experience shows that Endolift Body’s capacity to work beneath the skin, addressing tissue and fat together, delivers a more predictable abdominal result. They are included here to provide a complete account of the landscape, rather than a selective one.
4. CoolSculpting: a treatment for fat, not for skin laxity. Cryolipolysis reduces fat cells, which the body then clears naturally. Some patients notice incidental firming as the fat layer diminishes, though this is not the treatment’s purpose. Where skin laxity, rather than fat, is the principal concern, this is not the appropriate treatment, and in more lax skin, reducing fat without addressing the skin can render looseness more, rather than less, apparent.
